Katherine Braun, PT, ATC, started Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation with the goal of helping people with injuries and chronic pain to live their best lives.
In Downtown Washington, DC, Mrs. Braun draws upon her physical therapy and athletic training skills to provide specialized care for many types of acute and chronic pain, including back pain, hip pain, knee pain, and arthritis.
Mrs. Braun earned her undergraduate degree at Duke University, in Durham, North Carolina. She earned her Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MPT) at the University of Alabama (UAB) in Birmingham, Alabama. She’s a certified athletic trainer (ATC) and certified clinical instructor (CCI).
As a member of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Mrs. Braun keeps up with new advances in the world of physical therapy and sports medicine.
She emphasizes noninvasive paths to recovery and wellness, such as strength training, cryotherapy, balance training, and manual medicine techniques like massage and myofascial release.
Mrs. Braun has a long history of helping athletes feel and perform their best, including work with the Washington Ballet Company, John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Marine Corps Marathon, Washington Bullets, and Washington Capitals.
Mrs. Braun is passionate about helping patients be their very best, and she looks forward to helping every person on their journey to recovery and wellness.
