Dr. Peter Zatezalo is a physical therapist with ten years of experience currently working in outpatient orthopedics. Prior to this he has worked as a manager, and travel physical therapist in multiple settings.
Dr. Zatezalo is a certified specialist in orthopedics (OCS) and manual therapy (COMT) including spinal manipulation/mobilization, and is certified in dry needling. As a musician, former martial artist, and gymnastics coach, his main interests lie in performance medicine for injury prevention, rehab, and maximization of artistic and athletic performance. In addition, he has significant experience in management of tendinopathy, overuse injuries, and the role of neuromuscular control in rehabilitation.
After finishing his bachelor's degree in chemistry, Dr. Zatezalo earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Wheeling Jesuit University. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, orthopedic section.
Dr. Zatezalo believes in the power of physical therapy to educate and empower the individual, making them self-sufficient in managing their own pain while maximizing freedom of movement. In his spare time, he enjoys music, exercise, and travel.
